From ancient cave paintings to graffiti artists today, art has always been a part of human life. Art is something we do. It is an expression of our thoughts. It represents our emotions, intuitions, and desires. But sometimes, it is more personal than that. It’s tied in with sharing the way we experience the world in our day to day life, which for some is an expansion of our identity, our personality.
Art is the communication of cozy ideas that can’t be faithfully portrayed by words alone. Since words alone are insufficient, we should locate some other vehicle to convey our purpose. In any case, the content that we impart on or in our chosen media is not in itself the art. Art is to be found in how the media is utilized, the path in which the substance is communicated.
The term ‘form’ can mean a few distinct things in art. It is one of the seven elements of art. A formal investigation of an art portrays how the components and principles of art work together free of their significance and the sentiments or thoughts they may summon in the viewer. ‘Form’ is additionally used to explain the physical idea of the artwork, as in a metal figure, an oil painting, and so on.

Along with form, there are 6 more elements, which are, line, shape, value, color, texture, and space. Among them, form is the visual tool that an artist uses for creating an artwork. The most established archived form of art is visual expression. Which is basically incorporate making of pictures or objects in fields including today painting, mold, printmaking, photography, and other visual media.



In prehistoric times, people have made sculpture from materials. For example clay, ice, wood, marble, bronze etc. Some artists now create sculptures that move with the wind or when touched. On the other hand, fine art is another form of art. Some of them are painting, drawing, photography, typically has no other function than to be looked at. In contrast, decorative art is often utilitarian. The basic difference between fine art and decorative art is that fine art tends to be significantly more drawing-based, while decorative arts tend to be more technique-based. But there are exceptions to both these general rules.


The visual arts are art forms, for example, drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, plans, creates, photography, printmaking, video, writing and architecture. Numerous artistic controls (performing arts, calculated arts, material arts) include parts of the visual arts and in addition arts of different sorts.
